Cheokee Grey Wolf 25MB: The Sleeping Machine
posted by PaulSherryRVs @ 1:47pm, Friday 17 February 2012.
There are
many things that one must consider when looking for a new
camper. You must consider how much weight your vehicle can
tow, how much money you can comfortably spend, whether you want to
finance or pay cash, and so on. But if your family is anything
like mine, sleeping capacity is a huge factor.
I
come from an unusually large family, and when I was growing up, my
parents decided to buy a travel trailer so we could take family camping
trips. We were on a budget and my dad drove an SUV at the
time, so we were limited to an affordable travel trailer weighing less
than 5000 lbs. We ended up with something that slept 6 people,
and since my brother and I were the oldest, we always got booted out
into a tent for sleeping. I wish the Cherokee Grey Wolf 25MB
came out 15 years ago. It's a new floor plan by Cherokee Grey
Wolf that I call "The Sleeping Machine."
The 25MB is a 25ft
trailer that weighs 4886 and easily sleeps 10! It is a Forest
River product and the Cherokee line has a reputation for high quality
builds at an affordable price. Speaking of price, that might
be the best part about this trailer, because you can buy it new for
around $17,000. Paul Sherry RVs always carries a great
selection of Cherokee trailers, and we normally have a 25MB in
stock.

The rear kitchen and
living are doubles as the master bedroom with the use of a Murphy bed
that folds down over the couch. This creates room for a
separate bunk room in the rear of the trailer with 4 bunks in
it. A bunk room in a 25 ft trailer is rare in itself, but
Cherokee took it a step further and created the option to unite the two
bottom bunks creating one large sleeping area. By laying a
board across the gap and placing the included sleeping pad on top of the
board (much like folding down a dinette bed), your bunk house can now
sleep 6 rather than 4!

RV Related Recalls - December 2011
posted by PaulSherryRVs @ 11:54am, Wednesday 25 January 2012.
The following is a list of RV-related recalls for December 2011 compiled by the National Highway Transportation Safety Association (NHTSA).
• Keystone RV Co. has revised its remedy process and is again recalling certain 2009-2011 vehicles with the “generator ready” option, or with standard generator. Some IOTA ITS-50R transfer switches are experiencing failures when exposed to high electrical loads. Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will replace the transfer switch, free of charge. The remedy for the previous recall (10V-594) was to inspect and tighten the switch connections. The safety recall is expected to begin during January 2012. Owners may contact Keystone Customer Service at 1-866-425-4369.
• Spartan is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 K2 recreational vehicles manufactured from September 30, 2010, through November 22, 2011, rated at 52,000 lbs and equipped with 3030 brake chambers. These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 121, “Air Brake Systems” because they do not meet the park brake and draw bar requirements. Spartan will notify owners and install improved brake chambers, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule for this campaign. Owners may contact Spartan at 1-517-543-6400.
