The Cherokee brand by Forest River is a top selling brand that features a variety of floor plans under its own Cherokee name, and it is also the parent line for the Grey Wolf, Wolf Pack, Alpha Wolf, Arctic Wolf, Wolf Pup, and Cherokee Destination. The various lines within the Cherokee bran provide such a wide variety of sizes, weights, and floor plans that you can be sure you will find the perfect camper to suit your needs. This is why the Cherokee brand is the top selling brand in the nation, and we at Paul Sherry RVs is one of the top Cherokee dealers! You can browse our current Cherokee selection here.
The line bearing the Cherokee name itself is a family friendly line of both travel trailers and fifth wheels. They are full size, full featured campers that provide one of the best values for RV shoppers. There is a wide variety of floorplans within this line including many with bunks and some toy hauler floorplans as well. These are not heavy trailers by any means (many Cherokee floorplans are half ton towable), but they are also not designed solely around the concept of being lightweight. They are designed to be functional for people, especially families, to camp in. Because there are less weight restrictions during the design process and you get more space and more features for a great price .
The Forest River Cherokee line is one of the best quality trailers you can get for your money. They are typically stocked in “Stick and Tin” form, which means they have wood framing with aluminum walls. There are some benefits to this over fiberglass sidewalls including durability, and a lower price tag without sacrificing quality.
Some of the convenient camping features include the heavy duty entry steps, folding travel rack, LED lighting for extended battery life, and much more.
The floorplans are tried and true and feature layouts for families of all sizes. One of the most popular bunk models is the 274DBH. The 274DBH is a family trailer that features a double bunk bed in back and a private queen bed in back. There is a second entry door directly into the bathroom, so your kids don't track sand, dust, or mud all over the camper when they take a bathroom break. Another feature that is sometimes overlooked is the huge pantry storage, which is critical if you don't want to make frequent grocery and/or restaurants visits.
Another popular floorplan that is designed for smaller families or couples is the 274RK. This roomy floorplan is a rear kitchen layout with a large bathroom. The benefits include a socializing-friendly kitchen and living area with lots of seating, and a quieter bedroom as there is more space from the bedroom to the living area with the bathroom in between.
There is also a toy hauler floorplan in both travel trailer (294RR) and fifth wheel (255RR) variations. If you like to bring your golf cart, four wheeler, or motorcycle with you when you camp, then these are an excellent choice. Simply fold up the sofa’s against the wall, drive your “toy” of choice, right into the camper for travel, and take them out and re-assemble your living room when you get to your destination. The ramp door also doubles as a raised porch!
Please browse our Cherokee travel trailers and do not hesitate call us with any questions. We can also custom order Cherokee RVs if you are having a hard time finding the floorplan with all the options you need.
